First time using FINNAS on a PC
Please read our System Requirements page for
the latest information.
The steps to run FINNAS on a PC for the first time:
1. Check you are using
Internet Explorer 8
- Open Internet
Explorer
- Choose the
Help Menu
- Choose About
Internet Explorer
2. Install the trusted
site settings
The trusted sites settings for Internet Explorer allow FINNAS to
run.
- Click on the
link below and choose
run
- If your PC
asks you for confirmation choose “Yes”
- Close Internet
Explorer
- Open up
Internet Explorer

Ensure that
your browser exhibits the Trusted Sites green tick in the status
bar at the bottom of Internet Explorer when visiting the NAS
Insurance Brokers web site.
3. Install Sun Java
- Browse to the Java web site below
- Click on the
link “Free Java Download”
- Follow the
onscreen instructions to install Sun Java
4. Install Adobe
Reader
- Browse to the Adobe web site below
- Unselect -
Include in your download for the Free Google Toolbar
- Click on the
link “Download now”
- Follow the
onscreen instructions to install Adobe Reader
5. Log on to FINNAS
- NAS Insurance Brokers will give you a username and password.
- Go to the members login page and enter in your log in details.
- The first time
that you run FINNAS on a PC, some Siebel components (ActiveX
controls) will be downloaded and installed in Internet Explorer.
- You may be required to log in as an Administrator of the local
PC to do this.
- If your PC
asks you for confirmation to install these components choose
“Yes”
6. Troubleshooting
- Further system
tests may be required to troubleshoot problems.
