National Adviser Services Pty Ltd

NAS Insurance Brokers
ABN 60 096 916 184
Australian Financial Services Licence number 233750

NAS Insurance Brokers was formed in May 2001, in anticipation of the changes in the General Insurance industry brought about by the FSRA (Financial Service Reform Act 2001). An important outcome of the FSRA was the establishment of the authorised representative (AR) model. To support a national AR network, a new, efficient approach to managing the business was needed, based on a computerised management system that would give Advisers access to products, assist compliance and enable monitoring and auditing. To have a single source of customer information and be accessible to Advisers across Australia, the system had to be underpinned by reliable Web-based technology.

NAS holds an Australian Financial services licence and distributes insurance products nationally through a network of Advisers and Brokers acting as Authorised Representatives. NAS is a member of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) and Steadfast.

NAS has grown quickly from humble beginnings and in 2012 passed through $100M in premium written.  The past 4 years has seen growth average 26% per annum and there are now over 300 insurance Brokers servicing in excess of 40,000 clients.

By allowing businesses to operate remotely from an office environment NAS has attracted Brokers focused on building meaningful long-term relationships with their clients.  The in-built features of the system and low fixed cost promote a partnership whereby both the Broker and NAS share in growing the business.  This is part of the reason why NAS is proud to have almost 50% female Brokers.

NAS is unique in that it caters for a number of the largest regional and rural corporate insurance distributors within its network.  As one of the few Resilium cross-endorsed Brokers, NAS has also a strong affinity with the life and financial planning industries.
