Greg Dowd  |  Chief Financial Officer

Greg's primary responsibilities as our CFO are to ensure sound financial management for the company and ongoing integrity of reported information is maintained. This includes the provision of high quality, accurate and timely performance reporting and forecasting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, to both internal and external stakeholders. Greg will also be focused on supporting our strategic growth projects, balance sheet and treasury management, as well as profit improvement through both revenue building and cost efficiency initiatives.

Greg is a chartered accountant well experienced in performing senior business partnering, financial control, reporting and audit leadership roles in both the financial services industry and the accounting profession. In that time Greg has led both large and smaller teams through periods of change and operational enhancement to processes and financial reporting outputs, that support business initiatives and performance improvement.

Greg maintains a key focus on helping organisations drive the change agenda and meet strategic goals. He is passionate about capability development, process improvement and service excellence.

Greg enjoys the occasional game of tennis and golf (when not chauffeuring his kids around!) and is Treasurer of the Richmond Junior Football Club, notwithstanding the whole family are mad Collingwood supporters.

Matthew Boon  |  General Manager Strategic Alliances

Matthew has over 19 years experience in the insurance industry.  Starting out as an Insurance Engineer undertaking surveys, underwriting and claims assessments then moved onto the Construction, Mobile Plant and Engineering fields with major Australian and international insurers over a 12 year period advancing to state management level.

In 2007 he left the role of NSW Engineering Manager at Lumley General Insurance to start his own Underwriting Agency, Winsure Insurance Group as a Principal and Managing Director.  Winsure specialised in General liability, Professional Indemnity, Personal Accident & Illness, Property, Marine Transit, Contract Works and Builders Warranty, binders were held with both local insurers and Lloyd’s of London. Throughout this period he participated in a number of acquisitions, joint ventures, mergers and sales of business’.

Over his career Matthew has held a number of senior roles within the industry and has been an active senior manager for the past 15 years and holds a Diploma in Financial Services and another in Business Management – Frontline Management.

Elaine Slater  |  National Training Manager

Elaine brings to NAS an extensive and diverse range of skills in the fields of insurance, education, management, administration and retail.

Elaine’s wide experience as a qualified teacher and roles of Program Manager, Trainer and CEO of a Nationally Accredited Adult Education Centre, has contributed to the ongoing development of NAS training and support programmes. Elaine provides induction training for the NAS Authorised Representatives and staff.

With both broking and underwriting roles for more than 10 years in the Insurance Industry, Elaine’s specialist insurance knowledge base provides the NAS Authorised Representative organisations with best practice operational procedures in broking and compliance. As a qualified broker and experience with a major international underwriter including roles as Underwriter, EDI Administrator and Regional Manager, Elaine can help with strategies for portfolio management and administration.

Elaine provides NAS Authorised Representatives with the training and support to develop and maintain a sound and successful broking business while building strong relationships with their clients and insurers.
